Disney Princesses

I am a proud lover of Disney and especially the Disney Princesses. I grew up loving these movies, I sleep with a Disney Princess throw, and collect many Disney Princess homewares. A photo of me and Snow White graces my fridge, an Elsa mat lies on my living room floor, and I attended the 2018 RWA Cocktail Party as Queen Elsa. Disneyland is without a doubt my happy place and I save all my money and suitcase room in order to bring home many princess knicknacks. So this is my list of five favourite Disney princesses.

1. Belle

Belle has always been my favourite Disney Princess ever since I was a little girl. I love the Beauty and the Beast movie, the music, and the exciting characters. It is also one of my favourite Disney musicals and one I cannot wait to see. Belle is beautiful and strong and has such a passion for books that I absolutely can relate to.

I have a Belle throw pillow on my lounge and a beautiful Britto figurine that I bought from Disneyland sitting in my display cupboard. When I had to choose a musical Disney Princess at Paris Disneyland, I chose Belle. Winding it up, it plays the song Beauty and the Beast.

2. Rapunzel

I relate to Rapunzel as she has such wonderful dreams but is locked up, unable to achieve them. Rapunzel is beautiful with her gorgeous hair and excited spirit. I also love the whole 'lost princess' theme of this movie and the song At Last I See the Light. I have a beautiful Rapunzel figurine that I bought from Paris Disneyland.

3. Ariel

The Little Mermaid movie is one of my favourite Disney movies. I love the characters, the music, and how Ariel is willing to give up everything for the chance of love, even her ability to communicate. I have a beautiful Ariel Britto piece that I bought with my Belle one at Disneyland. They sit together in the cupboard.

4. Cinderella

Cinderella wins my heart as she is kind to those who do not deserve it. Who make her life a living hell. Yet, she continues to have hope and eventually wins out when she marries the prince. When I was spending the last of my Hong Kong dollars in the airport Disneyland store, I was faced with a selection of Disney Princess Poskets and I chose Cinderella as I didn't have many homewares of hers.

5. Aurora

While I don't think Aurora plays a strong role in Sleeping Beauty, I still really like her. She is beautiful and has a gorgeous voice. And what else is she to do other than sit in the forest, cuddle cute bunnies, and dream of a happily ever after?
